Session Details
PricingThe current session fee is $180*. This includes the photo session at your home or another approved Northern Virginia location for up to 1 1/2 hours. Contact me for travel rates outside of Northern Virginia. All products, including digital and printed images are sold separately*. Contact me for a Product Price List
* I am required by the State of Virginia to collect sales tax on all fees and products.

What happens before the session?
The first step is to contact me to reserve a session date! Then we will speak on the phone or in person to explore what type of session you would like. I want the opportunity to get to know you a bit. The more I know about your style and how you expect to use your photos, the better I can plan your session. We will also discuss wardrobe questions and location options. I will send you a session packet to return with a 50% retainer to hold your session date.
What happens during the session?
We will be relaxed and comfortable! I want you to feel like we’re just hanging out. It just so happens one of us brought a camera, OK?
There will be no pressure to perform, especially for the children. I can’t say this enough. You will not hear me ask anyone to ”Say cheese!” I want to avoid stiff, static posing and prefer a look that is somewhat organic. I keep toddler and very small children’s portraits very playful and unposed. I mainly try to guide them into beautiful light and play with them. (Yes, it’s a fun job!)
My goal is to create photos that you cherish because of the genuine expressions captured.
What happens after the session?
In about 2 weeks you will receive a link and password to your proofing gallery. Share your gallery with anyone you wish! For convenience, you may place an order through your online gallery.
But when possible, I prefer to prepare your order in person. It is so valuable to hear which photos you love and why, to share which are my favorites and why, to discuss wall arrangements, gift options and make sure you understand the collections to get the best value! The order consultation is included in your session fee and can be arranged after you’ve had a chance to review your gallery. Either way, you should always feel free call or email me with any questions.
