Family and dog fall portraits

I am so excited to share this beautiful family with you! Knowing people like this and photographing these moments are exactly why I love doing what I do so much. Amanda is a dear friend that I met in a Bible study that we were in with some other amazing women. We really hit it off, maybe because of some things we have in common: we’re both introverts, love dogs and dislike shopping.:)

We began planning her session last summer with some goals in mind. We wanted fall color and something fun for the family. We wanted to include their big, sweet, oafish pooch. And I was completely humbled when Amanda said she wanted my portraits of her boys in lieu of regular school photos!

Foliage color was at an absolute peak on our session day. The kids had fun and cracked me up the whole time. Amanda, I’m a big fan of all your boys, two-legged and four-legged!
